The Waves, 2019

I propose a video installation that projects the waves rolling on the walls inside and outside the gallery space. (The video of the person speaking would be excluded.) The video of the waves is 60 minutes in length and loops. It was shot in 4k. The installation is comprised of a single video that can be repeated across multiple projections, that when mirrored and joined at the edges, create a seamless and continuous experience, as seen below.

The light on the waves changes dramatically, as shooting occurred in the hour before, during, and after sunset. The waves were shot from above, so that when projected on a vertical wall, they appear to be defying gravity, as they make an overly slow descent back to the ground.
